I crack up every time I see this picture. I love her little chicken arms! And I added this picture because I just love it! Maybe I just can't see straight because I'm her mom, but isn't she absolutely beautiful?
We met this little girl outside the elevators and her Dad was so proud of her, he just kept talking and talking about her story. She was born at 25 weeks, like Brynn, but had a TON of complications. She had something called PDA, which is basically a major heart problem that requires immediate surgery. So not only did she have surgery as a tiny girl, but then she contracted RSV to boot. By the time I took this picture of her, her Dad was happy to report that she is perfectly healthy in every way. Amazing. Brynn shows all the signs of a healthy heart and with each passing day the chances of her having PDA is drops exponentially. So hey, good evidence that she'll be just fine at the end of this ordeal.

Lastly, I got the chance to change a poopy diaper--omigoodness I've never seen something more like black tar in my life. But I promised all my readers I wouldn't gross them out with the photo of the diaper (the nurse guessed I was a first-time proud mom for wanting a picture of it), and I promised Daddy that I wouldn't show off Brynn's poopy bum--so alas, no public photos of the ordeal. Let me just say, though, that since I can't hold her, nurse her, or do any of the other things that other moms do, I get really excited about changing diapers and wiping her bottom. I guess it's my only chance these days to FEEL like I'm acting like a real mom--thus lots of photos of gross things :)
Well anyway, I love you all,
Natalie

What fun photos! She is beautiful, nothing is more precious than your own little bundle. How uplifting the story of that cute little girl, we're all praying little Brynn will thrive just as well, she sounds strong like her parents!
Thanks for the great photos and updates! Can't wait to see Brynn in person!

Natalie, you crack me up! Brynn is beautiful and I'm glad that you so enjoy changing those tar-like diapers! :)
I wanted to give you a great big hug yesterday, but you were surrounded by people and my little girls were demanding all my attention... sorry!
You are so funny! I took pictures of both of my girls first poopy diaper changes in the hospital. Call me crazy but it's fun to document everything. Your little Brynn is gorgeous. I love all of the pictures - especially the feet pictures. She's such a little sweetheart!
I love that you post pictures all the time. I am always wondering what she looks like and how she is doing. LOVE the updates!
What perfect little toes! I love baby feet. You have a beautiful girl!
Thanks for posting the picture of the feet! When mom told me that her feet were the size of my thumb print I told her you had to post pictures! I look at the blog several times a day and show all my friends my darling new little niece!!!! I love you and miss you!
She'll thank you when she's older than you abstained from posting the poop pics online! She's such a beautiful little miracle.
Look at all her beautiful little toes! For being so tiny and not having enough time to put fat on, her face looks nicely filled out. Just wait - it's going to change A LOT these next few months! You'll look back at these pictures and be amazed at the differences!
