I Love . . .

Have you ever had a few days where you were just so happy, you could burst? I love my life! Since emotions--even happy ones--aren't always rational, I have to laugh because not much in my circumstance has changed. But I sure feel great, anyway! Here's a few things I love:

1) God. Believe it or not, I used to try hard not to make this blog a religious diatribe, especially for those not of my faith. But I've caved in recent times because He's on my mind a lot and is THE reason why we're making it through this (and everything else). General Conference was such a spiritual boost for me this weekend. Usually, I have one clear favorite speech. But this time, I had six favorites, two of which I'll include here:

-(I) Uchtdorf Slowing Down During Times of Stress
-(II) Eyring Knowing and Trusting God

-(III) Edgley Choose Faith
-(IV) Packer This was the closest thing to a political speech I've ever personally heard from the pulpit. Very interesing!
-(V) Oaks The Two Lines of Communication with God

-(VI) Monson Gratitude

2) My husband. We had a great weekend for various reasons and I feel like a giddy college girl all over again. I just hugged him and kissed him all over (don't let your minds go too far, kiddies--women on bed rest don't get much fun in that department).

3) My Brynn. I think this kid is one-in-a-million. Can you believe that she sat and played quietly, snuggled up to me, for FIVE out of the eight hours of General Conference? Two of the remaining hours, she was napping. What an angel! Look out world, the stereotype for two year olds is going to be rocked by one, single kiddo.

4) Supportive family. How do you thank someone for months of full-time service--especially when they have a million other things they need to attend to in their own homes far away? Grandpa B and Grandma H have been irreplaceable. "Thank you" doesn't even seem to be remotely sufficient and I have no idea what we would have done without them.

Brynn is quite an angel. Jason, on the other hand, is something else. He wanted to be outside ALL the time during conference. We did take the radio outside to try and listen, but Jason wanted to be cruising around the neighborhood, jumping on grandpa's tramp, etc. Kyle and I decided that next time we will trade off sessions so we can each hopefully get half of what is said.

Wasn't conference spectacular!? I loved it! I had several favorites too. And I'm excited because I figured out how to get them on my ipod so I can listen to them over and over again.
Love your guts!
