I Have a Question

So, I am currently running a new art blog, as well as a newly updated website, thanks to time I had on bed rest.

Art has been a major part of my life for a long time. Here's me at 11, running my first portrait business before I graduated to painting in oils:

And here's a portrait I did of Brynn a while back:

Anyway, I don't want this to become a sales pitch--because I hate it when I feel like I'm always being pitched to on Facebook and on some blogs--but art is a huge part of my life and maintaining two blogs is a chore I don't have time for (especially now that I'm not on bed rest)!

Anyway, I plan to combine the art blog with this one. In addition to the same things I already post about, I would be giving thoughts on art in general, fun creative quotes, and tips on how to find "your style." I hope these topics would be applicable to everyone who already reads this blog already. I'd also highlight works by my artist heroes, as well as occasionally announce my own work and/or specials I have going. If this isn't applicable to you, I hope it would at the very least be tolerable! I realize the ultimate decision is mine alone, but I thought I'd ask anyway: would it irritate you, my dear readers, if that part of my life joined this part of my life?

I'd love to hear from you, especially, if you are a blogger who tries to do what I plan to do (aka Lindsay Johnson, NieNie, among countless others). Are you glad you've combined "business" and "personal"? Or do you wish you'd kept them separate?

I wouldn't mind you combining them at all! Everything you do is interesting! And it's so refreshing to see such beautiful artwork. In fact, since I don't follow your other blog, I would LOVE it if you combined! That way I won't miss out on anything. :)

I would love it if you combined! I would especially love "tips" because I am always trying to be crafty or artsy! :-)

To me, my artistic life and my personal life are the same! I couldn't have just a blog with my illustration and design work, and then one just on the family. I wouldn't be able to keep up with them both (among everything else). I want to be able to print my blog out in books one day, and look back and see how it all flowed together. I say go for it! Your talent is a rare gift. You are seriously AMAZING. I am all for sharing talent. And it won't feel like a sales pitch. I look forward to it!!

Your portrait of Brynn is astounding.

Thanks for your encouragement, everyone. And Lyndsay--that's exactly what I hoped you'd say :)
