Thanks, Everyone

Thanks for your comments, everyone, on the last post. It helped me make a tough decision.

And for all you people who like photos (I do, too), they've only been lacking because shortly after Christmas:

(1) my good camera went on the fritz and then finally completely died (and my point-and-shoot is frankly not that awesome)
(2) my camera CARD pooped out (I think the dying camera corrupted it)
(3) as I was updating my computer, complete with wiping the hard drive and re-transferring all my files from the back up drive...you guessed it...the back-up drive died (brand new, might I add). So I lost a good 1/2 of my files.

Me and technology aren't friends these days.

BUT, I promise next month (if all goes well), I'll have a new camera and some great new pictures. In the meantime, here's some I managed to salvage that I haven't posted yet (pre-haircut for Brynn):

Brynn has an obsession with Mommy's makeup. Monkey see, monkey do:

If you'd told me 2 years ago that I'd be making homemade wheat bread routinely, I'd have laughed in your face. Yet here I am. Brynn is helping me with the bi-weekly bread routine (toddler + flour = I'm a glutton for punishment):

Heidi is such a happy, content baby full of smiles. She hardly ever cries:

2011Res: To Matt: I love when you check in throughout the day even when you're traveling for work. It makes me feel less lonely. To my Brynn: Today I savored everything about your voice (even when I swear I could smell the smoke from my inner-ear hairs getting singed after that scream you do). Also, lately you've been fantasizing and talking to yourself about things like, "Whey Doggie? Oh! Heeye doggie. Ruff, ruff. Hi, Doggie." Your chatterboxing will never cease being a miracle for me. To Heidi: After watching you sit by yourself for 3 minutes, feeding you an entire 1/2 cup of solids in one meal, and breaking out your 6-9 month clothes all in one day, I got that familiar pit in my stomach. I can't believe how fast you're growing up and doubly can't believe I'm one of "those moms" who is whining about it happening too fast. But whine I will. Dear Mr H: today I concocted an evil plan for a fun dinner tomorrow to welcome you home from your LONG trip. Hope you like it...

All I have to say is: "You are amazing!!!" I love reading your blog because you are so insightful about things I never took the time to think about. I love seeing the pictures of the kids. You are really talented, and I love reading about your goals and projects. How did you get to be so smart at such a young age?????
