Results Are In (Finally)

Brynn's results are basically as follows--she's completely normal except for 22 episodes in 24 hours of reflux which is not enough to justify a fundo (whew!). These results are not too surprising to me, but I'll confess I thought I'd get some more detailed analysis than that. Without getting on a soap box or being too critical, let's just say that Children's Mercy spends no more time than absolutely necessary in educating or informing parents--and sometimes I wonder if they even bother to tell me the necessary. This is so much different than what I'm used to at Overland Park Hospital--they were so thorough and helpful. Sigh. I suppose I'll just have to be better at bringing pages of insightful questions when I go to appointments at CMH.

So, we're just trying to get rescheduled for a G-tube placement as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I've decided to post a few photos (and one fun video) of our cute little Brynn:

Uh oh. Brynn's finding out how cute she is already--once she starts to learn that she can smile at us to get anything she wants, we're really in trouble.

What an absolutely adorable little girl you have. She's just plain perfect. Glad to hear that the test results let you move forward with the G-tube.

Loved the video! But come on, was that best music you could find? ;) What's the status on allergy results? No allergies? Yay for no fundo!

She's beautiful Natalie.... her features are becoming more mature and she just looks down right healthy. I'm so glad things are getting better. She's so cute, and I love the video.

Natalie,

I haven't followed your blog despite my interest, but I just clicked here today to get a little caught up. Can't believe how your baby has changed! Smiles and round cheeks! She's beautiful. I hope all continues to go well, and I admire your patience and joy in a situation that can be trying.

Love,

Alyson (Blaine's)
