Mountain Man Appreciation Day.

I made some comment when it became obvious Matt wasn't planning to shave before church today. Matt simply replied, "Today is Mountain Man Appreciation Day." Maybe he was inspired by the 5-lb calzone he ordered recently:

On the topic of appreciation, let me just say how much I appreciate Brynn's 180. Two days now, we have been retch free and just tonight she ate her entire dinner orally! My emotional biceps are getting a major workout here but I am so relieved she seems to be coming back to normal.

My suspicion is that she simply outgrew her medicine doses. Because of this, she never bounced back from her flu in March. In fact, she hasn't touched a hot dog since (or much of anything else for that matter), but I can't say I blame her since hot dogs make me sick even when I'm not sick to begin with. So anyway, just as we figured it all out and were in the process of getting all the meds back up to full therapeutic doses, she got another coughing bug which sent her back down.

Hopefully now that the sick season is over, and her meds are at full throttle, we'll get this kid oral. I'm not holding my breath, though!

Brynn, we'll try to be happy regardless of when you decide to ditch your extra accessory:

And in case you ever forget, we love you AND all your equipment.

2011Res: To Matt: I loved, loved, loved, loved, loved your Mother's Day present to me: a whole Saturday to paint! To my girls: today I savored both of your food milestones. Heidi, you are eating more and more solids (which means I get to be a student of William Whitaker once I can leave you for longer--which is the only plus side to your growing up). And Brynn, just keep up the good eating! Dear Mr H: today I tried to give you a chance to get a nap because I love you (sorry it wasn't as restful as you would have liked).

POST EDIT: Brynn just asked for a hot dog and ate all but one bite. I will now HAPPILY eat my words.

Wow that is an impressive calzone! Did he polish it off? :) Glad to hear that Brynn ate so well tonight, & we hope she'll keep progressing. We love you little family and wish you the best.

Yay! I am glad she is rebounding. I'm excited for our playdate on Wednesday.
