Taste of Home II

Right after finishing the last post, Brynn had her very first genuine tantrum, complete with screaming, kicking feet, and everything:

The culprit? Mommy had the audacity to prep for winter weather by putting on adorable hard-soled shoes instead of the soft leather ones she's used to:

She absolutely refused to walk. In fact, for about 5 minutes, she refused to let her feet even touch the ground. Sorry, Babe, but this is a fight that Mommy will win.

she looks so much like Megan in that second picture! but I don't know if it is okay to laugh at this post but I did--cause I know how she only wears those other shoes--hopefully she will get used to the new ones. I thought it was funny that she kept her feet off the ground. Yay, she has now reached the terrible twos!!

I'm glad we're not the only ones who had a problem with this transition, although it sounds like you had it worse. When we put Jason in his "winter" shoes, he kept tripping, which then led to crying.

As he started to get the hang of his new shoes, he had fun experimenting with the loud stomping sounds he could now make. He stomped back and forth between the linoleum in the kitchen and the carpet in the family room. He was so busy watching his feet that he forgot to watch where he was going and smacked into a wall, which led to more tears.
